The Parish Council are very pleased to report that they have received £8,500 from the Open Gardens Committee towards the New Village Hall project.
This money was raised as part of the Freeland Open Gardens scheme.
In this scheme, members of the Village open their gardens to the public and, at the same time, provide welcome cold drinks, cream teas and organise other money-raising events for those visiting the gardens.
Of the total, £2,500 was raised this year and £6,000 from previous years.
The Council would like to pay tribute to the generosity of those who organised and participated in this notable Village event.
