Design details
of the new Village Hall
At its meeting on Friday 20 November, the Village Hall Working Group agreed to establish a series of sub-groups to allow interested people in the Village to input their ideas into the detailed design of various aspects of the proposed new village Hall.
The six sub-groups are shown below, together with the two members of the Working Group who will liaise and co-ordinate them:
1.Kitchen and toilets - Mary Ann Canning & Peter Newell
2.Sustainability: Heating and other mechanical, engineering and environmental aspects - Colin Smith & Martin Shann
3.Landscaping - Robert Crocker & Mary Ann Canning
4.Lighting and acoustics - Martin Shann & Peter Newell
5.Sport facilities - Robert Crocker & Bill Pinkerton
6.Storage, furniture and fittings - Bill Pinkerton & Colin Smith
The Working Group welcomes anyone interested or with particular knowledge of these areas to make contact with the co-ordinating members given above. Contact is best by Email (clicking on their names opens an Email page in many browsers) but postal contact is also fine (see contact details below).
Depending on the interest shown, the co-ordinating members will hold meetings/group study sessions with those responding in order to advance the design of these hall facilities before presentation to the Working Group and Architect.
