The aims and objectives of Freeland Parish Council are:

1. *To maintain and improve social amenities and services, including the Playing field, Children’s Play-park equipment, Village Hall & car park and Footpaths & Bridleways.
   

2. *To encourage and promote social and community values by encouraging and supporting local community groups in their work within the village.
   

3. *To engage in an open dialogue with residents, to understand their needs and aspirations and to explain how the Council will try to address these needs within the resources and powers available.
   

4. *To be proactive, transparent and informative in our approach to village issues by the use of meetings, website and news letter.
   

5. *To promote and represent the best interests of the village for the betterment of the local community.
   

6. *To enable, assist and encourage other organisations and agencies to provide local services.
   

7. *To embrace progress and to improve the quality of life for those living in the Village.
