Methodist Church

Services take place at 10.30 a.m each Sunday, apart from the first Sunday in the month when we join St Mary’s Church for a Family Service at 10.00 a.m.

We invite all to share in the worship of God: we aim to present the Good News of Jesus Christ both in our fellowship and in the demonstration of God’s love in our lives.

Freeland Methodist Church is the oldest Methodist Church in the Witney and Faringdon Circuit.  The building was commenced in 1805 and was completed in 1807.

We have a “drop in” coffee morning on the second Friday of each month from 10.30 -12.00 noon and anyone would be made very welcome.

A needlecraft afternoon is held each Wednesday from 2.00-4.00 p.m., followed by a cup of tea and a chat.

Freeland Orchestra meet in the Church fortnightly on Wednesday evenings.

A small group entitled the “Sunsetters” for young people (10-14 years of age) meets at the Chapel on alternate Sundays between 5.00-6.00 p.m.  The contact for this is Mrs Denise Ball: 01993-882-859.
